SH Communities’ first commercial venture of 20,900 SF, Southern Corporate Center, was the pinnacle in corporate office settings. As a two-story, Class-A professional building, the office building featured a distinctive Mediterranean design with large oversized windows and a richly detailed exterior façade. The building’s orientation provides good exposure and visibility and is complimented by a long gallery, covered overhang and lush landscaping. Interior features included a majestic circular lobby impressive curved stairway, upscale flooring, ample common areas throughout, and executive light fixtures. Abundant windows were implemented for natural light as well as tenant-controlled a/c and electricity in order to cater to the user. Likewise, high tech communications were used. So stunning was the overall design of the Southern Corporate Center that it won the recognition of industry experts from around the nation in the Florida’s BEST Awards. The office building won Platinum awards in all categories entered and was recognized by appraisal and design experts as setting the trend for corporate design in the area.
